It took me a long time to realize drawing isn’t a talent, but is a skill. Once I allowed my self the room to accept that, I was exhilarated with the challenge to be able to say, “I can draw.” I didn’t start drawing until I was 22. I took many college courses, and continue to draw on my own. My favorite subject to draw is animals and pet portraits. Each year for teacher appreciation day, I draw a special pet portrait for my daughter’s teachers.
